Academic Integrity Policies and Laws

Academic integrity is an ethical code that entails the trainee's commitment to ethical values ​​and educational honesty in order to achieve academic success and excellence. One of the most important pillars of academic integrity is achieving the concept of honesty and respecting the intellectual efforts of the institute and others, while staying away from all manifestations of fraud, forgery, plagiarism or any other act that violates the concept of academic integrity. Academic integrity is the trainee's commitment to high moral values ​​and educational honesty in order to achieve his academic success in a responsible manner. Noting that education and training is an investment for the future of the trainee, if the trainee does not preserve the treasure of honesty in the course of the training and academic journey, then the trainee should make sure that he decreases the value of himself and the value of the education that he has been acquiring, and thus the value of the certificate in its essence is negated. Academic integrity is the heart and foundation of society, and it determines the credibility of people in their dealings with each other, and in the trust of members of society to officials in high positions and positions.

Forms of violation of training and academic integrity as motivation for plagiarism

There are many forms of behavior that violate the standards and principles of academic integrity, and some of them are, but not limited to, to name a few.
The following actions and behaviors:

Cheating:

From transmitting the work of others and the unauthorized use of any notes, information and materials in academic exams or other tasks assigned to the trainee.

- Intellectual theft / plagiarism:

Citation of statements and works of others, and unauthorized use of intellectual and literary blogs or of any information in any academic examination, without referring to them as a reference.

Academic aid misuse:

A trainee exploiting the work of a colleague who provides him with academic assistance in good faith, such as transferring from a special report drawn up by this trainee or from an old test, without informing him of that.

Exploitation of cooperation:

The trainee’s dependence on another trainee within his group to accomplish a joint duty/work, or the use of another trainee to complete individual duties.

Forgery and forgery:

The trainee has changed the information available to him or fabricated an academic test / assignment, or produced a forged medical certificate in order to be absent from attendance.

- Impersonation of others:

The trainee pretends to be someone else in the class, in a test or exam, or in any kind of training or academic duties. In this case, the impersonated trainee, and the impersonated trainee, will be punished.

Other acts of plagiarism

Trainees who sell lectures, notes, papers, or research works during their registration at the Institute, or who accept a financial consideration in return for their work to others, without obtaining a prior written approval from the Institute’s management, will be subject to disciplinary measures. as well as trainees who submit forms or solicitations with false information, or forged or misleading signatures; They will be subject to disciplinary action, and will be required to withdraw from the program without any compensation or discretion.

Fraud prevention measures

The tuv Training relies on a distinct model to follow up students’ performance and activities on electronic systems through several electronic procedures using specialized global systems, and electronic systems specially developed within the institute for this purpose, to work in an integrated manner to provide reports on the follow-up of trainees.

- Detecting violators of the academic regulations approved by the institute: The administration records all available internet data that the trainee uses to access the electronic systems, and it checks if the trainee enters from a place other than the user from it, and thus reveals the trainee who resorts to the offices to perform activities and duties instead of them.

The copy-and-paste feature is prohibited on the semester work portals, and the repetitive semester work that is not based on personal efforts of the trainees is examined and the necessary action is taken regarding it.

The entry of trainees into the electronic systems is monitored and the time for attending the full lectures is recorded.

- Electronic tests are opened and trainees are received at the start of the test period. The trainee is not allowed to enter the test after thirty minutes from its beginning, and the trainee is also not allowed to leave the test before half an hour has passed from its start.

exams

Trainees who violate the rules of the examination, especially the obligation of academic honesty, may be asked to withdraw from the training. Trainees who fail to follow the necessary instructions while taking an exam will be subject to disciplinary action. During an exam, trainees are not allowed to communicate with each other. They are not allowed to refer to any books or papers, without the express permission of the authorized official.

Written works

Submission of any written work is the responsibility of the trainee. Interns must submit their work in person on time to the authorized officer. Of course, it is not allowed to cooperate in the work of the program, or in the completion of tasks, without the express permission of the authorized official. Learners should familiarize themselves with all relevant classroom regulations and should also consult the authorized training and teaching officer regarding the preparation and submission of assignments, paperwork, or research. Trainees must obtain written permission from the authorized official before using the same research or other written work for more than one course of study. Interns who submit work without clear attribution of sources will be subject to disciplinary action.

 

• A mechanism to check trainees' work and prevent fraud and impersonation

1/ Activate the weekly discussions to ensure that the trainee knows the information and duties he provides.
2/ Examine all the work submitted by the trainees through the Training Department and make sure that there is no similarity or fraud among them with the feature of preventing copying and pasting on the quarterly business portals by relying on the Lockdown browser, which prevents the copying and pasting process and opening any other programs such as the browser of office programs and pdf files while preventing Test copy methods to not share.
3 / The electronic tests are opened and the student is received in the presence of a session in the presence of the observer so that when the test period begins, the trainee is not allowed to enter the test after 10 minutes from its start, and the trainee is also not allowed to leave the test before the end of the test time
4/ In the event of suspicion or observation of any fraud or impersonation of a trainee’s identity, the trainee’s data shall be referred to the Training Department to verify the trainee and the work he provides.

• Procedures used by the Institute in the event of a violation of what was previously mentioned:

1/ Not allowing trainees who violate the policy to use the website of the TUV Training Institute.
2/ Failure to provide certificates to trainees who violate prior policies.
            3 / Ban the email and ID number that committed the violation
